It seems to be a bit of a secret as I only heard it once in the news a few weeks ago, and you won’t get it automatically – you have to apply.


ANNUAL KITCHEN CLEAN UP – we urgently need volunteers for Mon 1st Feb from 9.30am to help with the annual clean up.  If you can help, please put your name on the sheet on the wall (near the social entry forms), or call Kay Rawlingson.    Please help out if you can.  Thank you


LAWN BOWLS ETIQUETTE –  Bowls Committee has updated the Lawn Bowls Etiquette guidelines in an easy to read format.     With pennant season just starting and tournaments coming up during summer, please read the guidelines.     Click on the link here, and a copy is also uploaded to the Membership page for the information of new/potential members.
Lawn Bowls Etiquette

Bowls Committee remind players that mats and jacks are still to be disinfected after use.   After home pennant games, can the leads please wash the jack and both mats after the game.   All other covid guidelines still apply regarding shaking hands, handling other people’s bowls etc.    Please maintain 1.5m social distancing and sanitise your hands regularly.    Signing in is still required for roll ups, and if you are in the clubhouse for more than 15mins please sign in on the sheet inside.  We have a QR code system for those who wish to use their mobile phones to sign in.   Thank you.

PENNANT PRACTICE –  please put your names down for pennant practice matches    Sat practice match is 1pm 14th and 21st Nov.  Tue practice match is 10am 17th and 24th Nov.  If you don’t have your name down you can still come along and you’ll get a game.   Mufti.

Pennant start dates are Sat 28th Nov and Tue 1st Dec.  GO BARKERS!!


OPEN PRESIDENT’S HANDICAP.  After many postponements due to Covid, the final was played on Thursday 5th November.   It was a very close game with a final score of 21-19.  Congratulations to the winner Ian McLeod and Runner Up John Baker.     Photo is at the bottom of the champions page.      ENTRIES  are now on the notice board for 2020-2021 championships starting with Mens & Ladies Singles, Minor Open Singles, Mens & Ladies Pairs, and Mixed Triples.      Entries start closing 14th Nov so don’t miss out – get your entry in ASAP.
